This is a great summer time recipe when we have the grill going all the time. I have not made this recipe in a long time, but at the time it was printed in the Southern Living magazine, it was very, very popular. It is something you can make ahead and pull out when your guests arrive.
2 3-ounce packages Ramen noodles, beef flavored
2 8.5-ounce packages broccoli slaw
1 cup sliced almonds toasted
1 cup sunflower seeds toasted
1 bunch green onions chopped
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup white vinegar
Yields 8 Servings
Crumble Ramen noodles and place in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Put broccoli slaw mix on top of the noodles. Sprinkle the almonds, sunflower seeds and green onions of top.
Whisk the beef flavored soup mix packets with the sugar, vegetable oil and white vinegar. Mix well. Pour the salad dressing over the broccoli slaw mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
